stated on the latest episode of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast that Scottish football can produce a “brilliant product,”

citing the cup semifinal between Celtic and his former team.

Naturally, I was a little let down by the result, but it does demonstrate Aberdeen’s ability to compete.

Despite Aberdeen’s absence throughout the season, they gave Celtic a scare.

The fact that Scottish football may provide excellent results must be kept in mind.

“Scottish football is marketed in a way that goes far beyond the Old Firm.

It demonstrates that the game can have a great degree of intensity and enthusiasm.

To increase those TV deals, I believe the league should put more effort into its marketing and package itself better.

“Clubs rejected China’s offer to purchase the SPL rights because they would have to market the league in a specific way while I was at Aberdeen.”
