Rangers may have funds ready to assign new manager already as Clement set to part ways at Ibrox
Following the firing of Michael Beale, Rangers seem to be applying more and more pressure as they hunt for a new manager.
Steven Davis has been named acting manager in addition to Alex Rae.
The team’s upcoming games against Aris Limassol and St. Mirren are drawing near.
James Bisgrove has already started the process of pursuing Ryan Lowe, the manager of Preston North End.
while the international break is about to finish [Daily Record].
According to reports, the Ibrox manager has made a provisional inquiry over the possible expense of releasing
Lowe from his Deepdale contract.
based on an article that the newspaper posted online.
Even if the appointment isn’t made until the international break, actions in the Rangers boardroom suggest that the money
might be ready to go as soon as feasible.
Lowe may not be a household name, but he has guided Preston to their best start in the Championship in over a century and
third place in the league.
Clearly, nothing has been learned from Beale’s brief tenure—who also had a similar background—by them.
Lowe has greater experience in the lower divisions of English football, having excelled at Plymouth prior to Preston.
However, he has no prior expertise that would enable him to handle the magnitude of the task at Ibrox.
Bisgrove, who chooses Govan’s first manager, is unlikely to have to make one more big decision in the near future given the
importance of this appointment.
Beale is clearly lacking in drive and ability, thus the team needs a strong leader who can seize the players
and the club by the scruff of the neck and turn things around.
The money may be almost ready to go, but proper handling is still required.
