Aston Villa held Chelsea to a scoreless draw at Stamford Bridge in the

FA Cup fourth round, forcing a replay between the two teams.
Douglas Luiz scored the first goal of the half for Unai Emery’s team after 12 minutes.
The Brazilan squared the ball to John McGinn, who passed it to Moussa Diaby,

who fired a low drive from the edge of the box that wobbly ricocheted off Alfie Gilchrist.

The ball popped up exactly into the midfielder’s path, allowing him to make a stealthy

move in behind the defence and poke into an empty net.
Fortunately for Chelsea, VAR intervened and disallowed the goal, ruling that Luiz had

handballed after Gilchrist’s deflection.

Following a largely commanding first half from Chelsea, Villa emerged as the biggest

threat as the second half came to a close, pushing for a winner.
Keeping himself busy, Djordje Petrovic denied Ollie Watkins and Matty Cash with two

vital stops in quick succession.
