The likelihood of West Ham United signing Armando Broja may be severely hampered by their reluctance to commit significant funds to a new striker in January.

West Ham United is eager to get Armando Broja,

but they aren’t willing to pay a high price for the Chelsea striker or any other attacker,

according to Football Insider.

The Blues are apparently open to selling the Albanian leader, thu

s their decision might ruin a move for him.

David Moyes had been searching for a new striker ever since he made the decision to trade Gianluca Scamacca to Roma in the summer.

The Italian has barely settled after making his highly publicised move last summer,

but the Hammers were unable to find a replacement for him in the summer.

The recent injury to Michail Antonio has helped Moyes see the bigger picture when it comes to adding a new forward. Although he is still on the roster, Danny Ings,

31, has not had much of an influence on the game this season, logging just 400 minutes in 16 appearances across all competitions.

Moyes will approve a sale if the Hammers receive a respectable offer for the former Aston Villa player. The manager of the Hammers will want the team to recruit a new striker, preferably one with ties to Armando Broja or Serhou Guirassy.

While there has been interest in Broja for some time, West Ham was unable to sign him.

Chelsea, who have already put a £30 million price tag on the Albanian,

may have to give up the 22-year-old in order to raise money when they begin their search for a new,

highly visible forward in January.

Chelsea would gain a great deal in FFP from a sale,

but West Ham is not really eager to spend a lot of money on him or any other forward.

Their position might ruin any attempt to get the 22-year-old Chelsea star,

which puts Serhou Guirassy’s pursuit into perspective.

West Ham is keen to finalise a deal as soon as possible because Guirassy has a release clause in his Stuttgart contract that makes him available for £15 million.

They will, however, be up against fierce competition from Tottenham and Manchester United for the forward.

Therefore, they may have to pay Chelsea’s demands for Broja if they fail to acquire Guirassy in the future.

The Albanian forward, 22, is valued differently by the two teams,

therefore the Hammers would want to investigate a potential deal with him as soon as possible.
