Once a formidable force in the NBA, the Golden State Warriors are currently having a difficult season that has

angered players and fans alike. After the team’s heartbreaking 141-105 defeat to the New Orleans Pelicans, the

team’s star player, Stephen Curry, spoke openly about the team’s problems and the loud dissatisfaction of the

fans.

“We’re obviously struggling, but I don’t even know what to say about it because I don’t want to be a prisoner to

the moment.” Since there’s really nothing to be happy about, it stands to reason that boos would also be cheered.

I don’t interpret it in any particular manner.

“Honestly, I’m booing myself booing our team in my head because of the way we’re playing. So, you know, it is

what it is, fans are going to react the way they want. It’s our job to give them something to cheer about and we

have not done that.”

In a postgame press conference, Curry acknowledged the fans’ discontent and went as far as saying that he would

join in on the booing if he were in their shoes. The Warriors, who once enjoyed a prolonged period of success, are

now grappling with major concerns as they endure blowout losses against the Pelicans and the Toronto Raptors.
