The £17 million striker who scored at the 2022 World Cup is West Ham’s target
It is rumored that Boulaye Dia, a striker for Salernitana, is the target of West Ham United. In the January transfer
window, the Hammers could certainly use reinforcements in the attacking lines. Gianluca Scamacca was not
replaced by West Ham in the offseason; instead, Jarrod Bowen and Michail Antonio have been starting in his place
this season.
As the leader of the Hammers line, Bowen is taking up the majority of the goal-scoring load while Antonio is out.
Italian publication Cronache di Salerno is the source of the story connecting Dia to West Ham. The report also links
the forward to a number of other Premier League teams, a Bundesliga team, and two Serie A teams.
According to reports, Eintracht Frankfurt is “in the front row” for the 27-year-old. But the Premier League is
something to “watch out for,” since Wolves, Everton, and West Ham may be dangerous.
Fiorentina and AC Milan are rumored to be interested as well, but they don’t seem ready to meet Salernitana’s €20
million (about £17 million) asking price.

Salernitana did not approve of Dia’s summer transfer to the Premier League, despite Wolves’ desire to sign him.
The Senegal star eventually worked out his problems with the club’s management, despite his initial refusal to rejoin the team following the international break.
But now that the January transfer season is here, rumors are circulating once more, and West Ham is reported to be involved.
Dia participated in all three group matches and the England lost in the round of sixteen at the 2022 World Cup. He also made one goal against Qatar, the hosts.
