Adam Webster thinks that in their goalless draw with West Ham, Brighton was the “only team” attempting to win.

After missing over two months due to a calf injury, the defender returned to the first squad at London Stadium on

Tuesday night and performed admirably for Albion’s defense.

Webster was disappointed with the one point the Seagulls managed despite having 68% of the possession and 22 s

hots against the Hammers, as they preserved their first Premier League clean sheet of the year.

“We’re not satisfied with a point at all; it seemed like only one team was attempting to win the match. We could have

won by two or three if we had been a little more merciless and clinical on another night. Overall, the performance was excellent and enjoyable, according to Webster.

The center defender has had a challenging year or so due to a string of bothersome injuries that have prevented him from playing.

However, the former Portsmouth player batted off any concerns that he had sustained a new injury after hobbling off the field in the late stages. He was happy to be back on the field.

“I feel fantastic. Tonight I felt great, and I was having a great time outside. Though I didn’t want to interrupt, having cramps in both calves isn’t good! It is good to be back, and I am really delighted. It can take some time to reintegrate into the squad after returning, and that’s understandable,” Webster continued.

“Although you need to increase your fitness, it was nice to get the chance to play tonight and record a clean sheet; that’s been weighing heavily on our minds. Tonight’s performance was excellent, and if we had prevailed, it might have been among the best under the manager. From there, we can expand.
