1) He never had a free agency status. If the Ravens had declined the offer,

you would have needed to give them two No. 1 picks in order to sign him.

It is astounding to see organisations prepared to go with two firsts or more in

exchange for young quarterbacks like Bryce Young.

But reject out of hand the idea of signing Jackson. Raising eyebrows everywhere,

even teams in desperate need of a reliable quarterback choose not to pursue the position.

While some have attempted to use Jackson’s injury history and contract demands as

justifications for his circumstances.

In light of the Baltimore Ravens’ faith in him, it is difficult to accept these reasons.

In spite of all the odds, they contributed to his retention because they saw his potential.

It’s interesting to note that the Ravens’ choice has paid off because of Jackson’s distinctive playing style,
