After two straight losses in the league, Cameron Carter-Vickers has begged Celtics supporters not to lose heart.

Chants of “sack the board” reverberated throughout the stadium as incensed Hoops supporters directed their fury at the board during

Saturday’s humiliating 2-0 loss at home to Hearts. A portion of the Parkhead faithful found the old CEO’s return as chairman

controversial, therefore they also demanded that Peter Lawwell step down.

Brendan Rodgers’ misfits weren’t spared either; after yet another terrible performance, they were jeered from the stadium at halftime

and the final siren. Furthermore, Carter-Vickers acknowledges that their disagreement was clearly audible.

The USA international said: “You’ve got to try and take the emotion out of it as much as you can.

Look at the football, analyse the game and try to improve, that’s all you can really do.

“It’s reasonable to feel that way. As athletes, we experience the same emotions as supporters when we lose a game.

However, it serves

little purpose to view a game while feeling upset. You need to approach it with objectivity,

maintain your composure, and work on getting better.

“We just need to analyze what went wrong and see where we can improve as a team and as individuals,”

CCV said. Performances will improve if we follow through on it.

“It’s apparent that losing a game raises your emotions. But together, we need to focus, work hard on the training field,

and strive for improved performances. Wins follow improved performances.

“We didn’t measure up. We need to focus on improving on our two careless goals that we gave up during training.

It’s likely that we ought to have produced more and utilized the opportunities we did have to try to tie the score.

We did have Hearts in their half and around their box for a significant portion of the second half,

but when we did manage to get in, we weren’t strong enough in the last third to create obvious scoring opportunities.

“There are a few boys in there who feel the way I do. It’s no use having just CalMac.

He’s our captain and shows responsibility, but he needs help. A few of us are willing to take that responsibility,

try to lead the team, and that’s something we need to do in the coming weeks.”

Rangers have a fantastic chance to pass the champions at the top of the league as a result of Celtic’s most recent loss;

they are now behind by five points but still have two games remaining. It’s an amazing turnaround from just a few weeks ago,

when it seemed like the Gers had no chance in the league race.

“Obviously, I know that, but as I’ve always stated, it’s December,” Carter-Vickers continued.

At the end of the day, it’s still December, even though our lead is clearly fading now. There’s no shortage of games to play.

You must approach each game individually. At this moment, it wouldn’t matter whether we were 10 points ahead or 10 points behind.
