The Toffees signed Frank Lampard in January 2023 as a replacement for Rafa Benitez.

Given the drama he had experienced at Chelsea, a fellow Premier League team, the decision to join them was peculiar.

and 8 draws for Everton—among the worst records in the team’s history—he was fired a year later.

They waved to the manager and his coaching staff. Since then, he has returned to Chelsea,

Frank Lampard ‘could take over’ Charlotte FC

The Athletic reports that Frank Lampard is among the finalists for Charlotte FC’s head coaching vacancy.

They aim to have a coach by late December ahead of pre-season kicking off in January.

According to the article, the interview process is almost over, and the former Toffees boss is

reportedly seriously considering some of the names.

This would presumably indicate that returning to the United States would not present any difficulties for the 45-year-old.

Lampard will have former Premier League competition

One well-known player in the Premier League will compete with Lampard. Dean Smith,

the former manager of Aston Villa, also seems to be one of the contenders that are in the running.

Smith guided Aston Villa to Premier League promotion in 2019 and stayed on the team until November 2021,

when Unai Emery took over.

Smith will be a formidable opponent for Lampard given his stellar football resume, but the Chelsea legend’s familiarity with the league

from his playing days may give him the edge. It will all come to light in time.
