The January transfer window will end in a few hours, and while Celtic and Rangers strive to bolster their rosters, there

may still be a number of deals to be made.

Philippe Clement will be hoping that this window may provide his team with a much-needed lift as they look to narrow

the deficit by the end of May, with the Ibrox side five points behind the Hoops. This transfer season, Celtic has only

added Nicolas Kuhn as a permanent signing, while the Gers have not added any players at all.

Nevertheless, they are optimistic about closing two last-minute deals in Brazil, while José Cifuentes is still awaiting a

loan agreement from Glasgow, with a possible £2 million add-on option.

The transfer window closes when?

Just as in England, the January transfer window will end on Thursday, February 1st, at 11 p.m. Not all nations are the

same in this regard. Spanish teams have until 10 p.m. to finalize their arrangements, but French teams’ window closes at

the same time as England’s. Transfers from Italy must be finished by 7pm, while the German window shuts at 5pm.

Can agreements be reached after the cutoff time?

The league may extend the deadline for completing and submitting the necessary paperwork if a transfer is decided

upon by the two teams late in the day. The clubs are then given two more hours to finish the remaining documentation,

after which they can send a contract sheet to the authorities as proof that an agreement has been reached.
