SAN FRANCISCO: The Warriors will pay tribute to assistant coach Dejan Milojevic, who passed away in Salt Lake City last week from

a heart attack, in a couple different ways.

The Warriors’ jerseys will feature a patch featuring a heart with Milojevic’s initials “DM” inside it for the duration of the season. The

team also declared that every home game left this season at Chase Center will feature the ‘DM’ emblem imprinted on the sideline.

The team is also finalizing plans for a pre-game tribute to Milojevic, who they called “Deki,” before tip-off against the Atlanta Hawks

on Wednesday night. It will be the team’s first game since his death last Wednesday.

In honor of Milojevic, the Warriors postponed their games against the Utah Jazz and Dallas Mavericks. On Monday, they resumed

their first team practice. Warriors players were spotted honoring Milojevic with jerseys that said “Brate,” which is the colloquial term

for “brother” in Serbian that Milojevic used to refer to all of his friends and teammates.

The majority of the league will be receiving such shirts from the team to wear in Milojevic’s honor. The Warriors also viewed the entire

12-minute homage from Mega Basket, where Milojevic was the coach, and KK Partizan, where he played.
