A roaring Anfield crowd spurred Liverpool to a 2-1 comeback win over Brighton, propelling them to the top of the league.

Despite trailing at halftime to Kadioglu’s surprise goal for Brighton, Liverpool roared back with second-half strikes from Gakpo and Salah to secure a vital victory.

Darwin Nunez nearly opened the scoring with a moment of magic, audaciously flicking the ball over his head and forcing a desperate save from Brighton keeper Verbruggen.

The Seagulls responded swiftly, taking the lead with Kadioglu’s clinical strike. Kelleher produced a crucial save to deny Rutter, keeping Liverpool in the game. Despite a late flurry of set-pieces, Brighton remained dangerous, with Kadioglu and Welbeck nearly adding to their advantage before the break.

Despite losing Konate to injury at halftime, Liverpool started the second half strongly. Gomez nearly made an immediate impact with a header, and Mac Allister and Van Dijk both threatened from crosses. Salah then spurned a golden opportunity, failing to convert Nunez’s pass.

Liverpool’s luck turned when Gakpo’s cross found the net, and Salah’s sensational strike sealed a comeback win. The victory, coupled with losses for Arsenal and Manchester City, sends Liverpool to the top of the Premier League.
