Ange Postecoglou set to raid Celtic for highly rated midfielder
According to a story in the Daily Record this morning, Ange Postecoglou would compete with
Manchester United to capture a top Celtic prospect. The former Celtic manager, who left the club
just under a year ago, is looking to push his Tottenham rebuild even further and may now utilize his
knowledge of the Celtic squad’s quality to his advantage. And that might imply an imminent
departure for Daniel Kelly
, who has yet to agree to a contract extension with Celtic, with his present
term expiring at the end of the year. Celtic have been in talks with the agents of Kelly and Rocco
Vata, but no deal has been reached. Vata’s contract ends at the end of the month. Kelly is free to
speak with potential suitors on July 1st, and while Ange Postecolgou would like to secure a deal
with the highly rated midfielder, Kelly has plenty of other options, including new interest from
Manchester United and plenty of interest from the continent, including German Champions Bayer
Leverkusen, Italian sides Bologna, and newly promoted Como.
