Following their unexpected decision to allow Roberto De Zerbi go this summer, Brighton is now

thinking of bringing back a well-known player to take Roberto’s position.

Now that Kieran McKenna is set to stay at Ipswich Town, Brighton is reportedly mulling a move

for their previous manager, Graham Potter, according to Jacob Steinberg of The Guardian.

The 38-year-old is about to ink a new contract with the Tractor Boys after allegedly turning down a

move to Chelsea.

After Brighton’s new owners fired Thomas Tuchel in September 2022, Potter moved to Chelsea.

Potter agreed to a five-year contract with the Blues. On April 2, 2023, months after losing 2-0 at

home to Aston Villa, he was fired.

Potter was recently chased by Ajax. Before the team signed current Ajax manager

Francesco Farioli, he was also connected to the Nice position.

In the event that Manchester United decides to break ways with Erik ten Hag, one of

Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s top choices to take his place is Potter.

According to reports, Potter is also a contender to succeed Gareth Southgate as

England’s manager following this summer’s Euros.

There aren’t many names left on Brighton’s alleged management shortlist, aside from Potter.

The one most likely to take over was McKenna. De Zerbi apparently preferred

Farioli to take over as Brighton’s manager going forward.

Russell Martin, a native of Brighton, and former athlete Liam Rosenior were also connected.

Whether the Seagulls have contacted any of these candidates directly is unknown.

Head of Malmo Henrik Rydstrom is the most recent person connected to the Brighton position.

This week, his name appeared higher on the Brighton manager odds lists. The 48-year-old

created waves in 2023 when he played fluid football to win the Allsvenskan.

The guy himself claims that Fernando Diniz of Fluminense and his preference for relationalism

over positional play served as a major influence on his method. Regarding his extraordinarily

effective strategies, Rydstrom remarked, “It goes against everything that is logical.”

There are no reliable records connecting Rydstrom to Brighton. But it would be very appropriate if

the Seagulls were to unintentionally acquire one of the top young managers now operating outside of Europe’s top five divisions.

Brighton man makes transfer stance clear again, leaving no doubts

Deniz Undav, a striker for Brighton & Hove Albion, has reiterated his desire to

stay with VfB Stuttgart for the upcoming campaign.

Florian Plettenberg has been covering the striker’s remarks as he addresses the

gathered media during a press conference in Germany today.

Undav has been a huge success this season, netting 18 goals and dishing out ten assists in

30 Bundesliga appearances while on loan at Stuttgart.

As a result, he has received a great deal of attention, recognition, and a spot in the Germany team.

He is most likely included in Julian Nagelsmann’s squad for Euro 2024 this summer.

Stuttgart is eager to retain him permanently from Brighton and has the option to do so,

but they have been hesitant to pay the necessary amount and have been open about it for a number of months.

Although Brighton appears to be unwilling to compromise at this time, it has been

claimed that they would want to bargain that down.

Undav has been stating his position clearly in the interim, stating that he is happy with

Stuttgart and that he wants to move away from Brighton permanently. He has repeated this position today.
