Not successful yet -Manager and agent respond to Brighton links – Director insists ‘not surprising’

Stevan Selakovic, the agent of Malmö FF manager Henrik Rydström, told Fotbollskanalen

that he is not shocked by the most recent rumors connecting his client to Brighton & Hove Albion.

The Seagulls have not yet named a replacement for Roberto De Zerbi, who resigned from

his position at The Amex at the conclusion of the season.

In England, there have been rumors that Rydström is vying for the Brighton position.

The 48-year-old’s representative has not acknowledged or refuted the Premier League team’s interest.

He remarked, “It is only fitting that Henrik’s name is mentioned in such contexts given

the results he has achieved and the work he has done, but at this point he is fully focused on Malmö FF.”

Under the direction of the current manager, Malmö won the championship and the Swedish Cup,

and they currently top the league standings. Daniel Andersson, their sporting director,

is unsurprised by reports originating from the United Kingdom suggesting Brighton

as a potential destination for Rydström.

“I haven’t heard anything like that. However, it is not shocking because he has performed

admirably both with us and in the past. The interest is not surprising, according to Andersson.

“He can speak for himself, but overall, I get the impression that he is in excellent spirits,

leading this project well, and excited about the upcoming European game.”

Tuesday’s 2-1 victory over IF Elfsborg gave Malmö the victory, and during the news

conference that followed, the manager was questioned regarding the recent rumors that he

was being linked to a move to Brighton.

“I observed it. My acquaintance informed me that it originated from a sports betting website.

All I know is that. Being mentioned is more enjoyable than not being, he continued.
