Ally McCoist plans bad: Attempts to Unsettle Brendan Rodgers

After a brilliant season in which Brendan Rodgers won both the league and the cup in his first

season back at Parkhead, Ally McCoist has made an effort to fuel rumors over Rodgers’ future at Celtic.

Considering his level of success, McCoist speculated that Rodgers would be considering a move,

particularly given the openings at Chelsea and Brighton right now.

McCoist stated on TalkSPORT, “There’s a part of me that believes Brendan will want to move on again.

” That’s what I really think. He has, of course, had an incredibly successful season, winning both the

league and the cup. It goes without saying. And his resume is back up there once more.

“Scottish teams have been competing at the very, very top level in recent years, and it is almost

impossible for them to compete in the Champions League.” In my opinion, Celtic would remain exactly the same in the upcoming season.

“I can say with certainty that some parts of the Celtic fanbase will always be unhappy with

Brendan returning to the team because of how they perceive his initial departure.

I wouldn’t be shocked in the slightest if Brendan moved on and returned to the south.

Nevertheless, there is good reason to think Rodgers is dedicated to his current position at Celtic,

even in light of McCoist’s proposals. Last summer, Rodgers signed a three-year contract with the aim of

playing out the term. It’s possible that his suggestion to quit this summer is a ploy to rile up the manager in

the midst of his winning campaign.

He’s only now beginning.

Some have seen McCoist’s remarks as a sign of bitterness toward Rodgers’ accomplishments,

particularly in light of the fact that he has fired yet another Rangers manager.
