The controversy surrounding the Hampden final rages on as Celtic supporters wind down their celebrations after winning the Scottish Cup.

After Adam Idah scored a last-minute winner against Rangers at Hampden, Brendan Rodgers won his ninth winners medal and Celtic’s 118th in his role as manager of the Hoops.

The Celtic striker was given a six-yard opportunity due to a Jack Butland error, and Idah did what he does best, tucking it away to send the Hoops supporters into a frenzy.

Ally McCoist was upset at the Hampden outcome, not Butland’s mistake. It was something quite different.
Why Ally McCoist calls SFA officials “scandalous”

The outcome has been on the former Rangers striker’s mind the entire Bank Holiday weekend.

And following his team’s second consecutive defeat to Celtic, McCoist took use of his extra day off to vent his frustrations with the SFA officials.

“Well, let’s be honest about he’s got a point there,” McCoist stated [talkSPORT] in response to Clement’s assertion that his squad was unlucky.

“Jeff, scandalous. Absolutely scandalous, honestly. But I’ve come to expect it.

“Jeff, the ineptitude of our officials is so absurd that it’s almost embarrassing.”

They forbid a shove from being the goal. Alright. I can see how they might have been a slight shove.

However, they rewind by two seconds. They must impose a punishment. Greg Taylor, the youngster, had his arms wrapped around Nicolas Raskin, the man, who then gave him a small shove.

“Jeff, it’s just plain incompetence, but that’s just how things are. We’ve grown accustomed to it.”

This amazing rant—where to even begin? To begin with, it was obviously a foul. during the entire day. Commentators and former SFA officials have all agreed on this.

Raskin didn’t need to pursue Joe Hart in this direct manner. The Rangers goal would have stood if he had simply left the Celtic goalie alone because, in my opinion, Hart was not even close to the cross.

Regarding Greg Taylor restraining Raskin. That took place subsequent to the assault on Joe Hart, but let’s not allow the truth get in the way of a good argument.

And would there have been a penalty even if it had happened earlier? Not in my opinion.

McCoist is obviously hurting now that he realizes Rangers are not as near to Celtic as many in the media would have had people believe. He has had a nightmare here.
