Pervis Estupiñán of Brighton & Hove Albion has been out with an ankle injury since his last game in April.

Olé claims that the Ecuadorian international had surgery and has been concentrating on his recuperation at home in order to be prepared for the Copa América.

To aid in his recuperation, the left-back from Brighton has been going to Liga de Quito, where he previously played.

The 26-year-old made the most of his spare time after the Seagulls season ended by going to what appears to be a massive party in Quito.

A portion of Ecuador’s media took offense when the organizers released a picture of the fullback at the celebration.

Prior to the Copa América, there were doubts about his dedication to the national squad.

“The Ecuadorian chose to spend his recuperation at a party that shook the capital’s soil a few days ago, less than a month before the Copa América,” a publication stated.

The Brighton defender is reportedly “very upset” over the criticism, and he didn’t hold back in his social media responses.

It seems that everything you do to aid in your recuperation has to be uploaded online for my pals in the media to see. I imagine that I would still be using crutches if I had chosen something different over my recuperation.
