Eight persons have been arrested over minor disturbance offenses linked to the Scottish Cup final in Glasgow.

Four individuals, aged 17, 19, 25 and 28 were reported to the procurator fiscal, while a 25-year-old man was prosecuted and released during Saturday’s meeting between Celtic and Rangers at Hampden.

In addition, two 15-year-olds were taken into custody and released to their guardians, while two 50- and 51-year-old ladies received warnings.

The majority of fans received plaudits from Police Scotland for their conduct both before and after the game.

At a later time, the 25-year-old will appear in court.

Ahead of the scheduled Celtic March, police moved on a sizable gathering of Rangers supporters as they strolled through the Trongate neighborhood of the city.

Later, a few Celtics supporters without tickets were seen climbing the fence to enter the Hampden stadium.

Adam Idah’s late goal gave Celtic a 1-0 victory.

“There was no significant disorder and I would like to thank the majority of fans for their conduct throughout the day,” Chief Security Officer Stevie Dolan stated.
