Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has publicly lauded Adam Idah for raising levels in his team as the club considers making his stay permanent.

Since joining during the winter transfer window, Idah has shown to be an excellent loan addition. Despite being mainly utilized as a substitute, he has eight goals in 18 games.

To force Kyogo Furuhashi into that central striking position, Celtic needed another option. In addition to competitiveness, Idah offers a different, more aggressive style of play during games that allows the Bhoys to adjust their offensive strategy as needed.

The team’s performance in the second part of the season has greatly benefited from having both of them around. Despite rarely playing together, their goals have played a significant role in Celtic’s Scottish Premiership title retention.

Rodgers has now stated unequivocally that he believes Idah will only get better in the future.

“There is no denying that Adam’s arrival has been a true motivator for us. Kyogo’s game and the team have both improved since he joined. There’s a really talented person he has there who will only become better.

It’s fantastic to having the option to insert him into a game to give Kyogo a break, or to start one from the beginning. All I know is that whichever game I choose,  or if I have to bring one off the bench they are ready.”
