Leicester City fan meets Enzo Maresca and Jamie Vardy in VIP day thanks to Rutland care home

When his favorite football team treated a care home client like a VIP, it was a day to remember.

Paul, a lifelong Leicester City season ticket supporter who lives in Tixover House in Rutland, received an invitation as a VIP visitor to attend the team’s championship game.

Born in Leicester, Paul has lived in the Stamford area for a long time and is well-known in the community for his passion for the Foxes. He has attended over 1,500 games both domestically and abroad.

The Tixover House team made arrangements for him to meet with former and current players and walk through the tunnel to the pitch for the team’s warm-up.

Jamie Vardy, a former England striker for City, signed a shirt for Paul, and he also got to meet Enzo Maresca, the manager who led the team back to the Premier League.

The day has been quite emotional, according to Paul’s relatives.
