West Ham United make official £22m bid for Fenerbahce star Ferdi Kadioglu, Mikel Arteta loves him

According to AS Marca, West Ham United has made a bid to capture Fenerbahce defender Ferdi Kadioglu before

Arsenal.

The Turkish news source, writing on their official X account on May 22, reports that the Hammers have submitted

an official proposal of £22 million for the 24-year-old left-back this summer. Although Tim Steidten has made the

initial move as Julen Lopetegui wants to boost his squad ahead of his first campaign as manager, Arsenal boss Mikel

Arteta is reportedly a “big fan” of the player and “would love to sign him” for the Gunners.

Ben Johnson is expected to depart and Thilo Kehrer has already left the Hammers, so the team will be looking to

bolster their full-back position this summer. However, the left side is a little stronger.

Emerson Palmieri is the first-choice player and has been playing well; nevertheless, Aaron Cresswell has agreed to a

new contract with the team; Kadioglu is a very good new signing who would improve the floor of the squad.

Talent scout Jacek Kulig called the adaptable defender a “future superstar.” He has four assists in 34 games this
