Promising left back previously tracked by Celtic set to be released by Spurs

At the end of his contract, Ryan Sessegnon will depart Tottenham Hotspur this summer. It was anticipated that the

adaptable left-back, who came to Spurs from Fulham in 2019, would develop into a fully-fledged first team player

and challenge for England caps.

But the 24-year-old will leave as a free agent, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.

Sessegnon would love to stay in the Premier League, says Romano. But, given that Celtic has been scheduled to play

in the Champions League Group Stage following their championship victory, the young player might be drawn to

what Celtic has to offer.Greg Taylor has been a great asset to the team, but Brendan wants a left back to rival him.

internationalist’s contract is going to expire, so the team needs to make sure they can finalize things as soon as

possible. But given the number of games in a season, the manager obviously wants top-notch coverage within the group.

With 120 games for Fulham, the full-back—who can also play left wing—scored 25 goals and provided 18 assists. Due

to his performance, he was traded to Spurs, where he played 57 games but only managed three goals and four assists.

Sessegnon would also be a member of Matt O’Riley’s young cohort at Fulham. Players will undoubtedly be drawn to

the midfielder’s development from a £1.5 million acquisition from MK Dons to the exceptional quality in Scotland

during the upcoming transfer window.
