Renowned Scottish coach Gareth Henderby is rumored to be joining Rangers as their next academy director.

Renowned Scottish coach Gareth Henderby is rumored to be joining Rangers as their next academy director.

Henderby has previously held the position of technical director at the Right to Dream program in Ghana and

worked in the youth division of the Danish club Nordsjaelland.

One of the individuals being considered for the role of Rangers’ next academy director is Gareth Henderby,

according to writer Scott Burns of the Daily Record, who first discovered the link.

Has played significant roles in the Right to Dream academies and at Nordsjaelland.

“Some serious talent has been developed with his assistance.”

The Right to Dream academy has provided a plethora of talent with Rangers January signing Mohamed Diomande

a graduate before signing for the club.

The Ibrox faithful have expressed their excitement at the potential move after noticing a social media post by Henderby

who was in the crowd when Rangers drew 3-3 against Celtic in April.

Henderby posted a photo of the game with the caption “Ready”, and fans have responded urging him to

come back to the club and take up the role of academy director.

In April of this year, Henderby publicly severed his relationship with the Right to Dream due to his appointment as the

head of academy at Nordsjaelland.

Henderby, who took over for Jacobs upon his arrival, has a great deal of experience seeing

talent in young players and knows what it takes to take them and convert them into professional football players.

Players who came from the academy, with a total salary of around £75 million, make up

six of the top ten sales for the Danish team.

That is exactly the sort of return that whoever takes over from Jacobs has to achieve.

Rangers have never had a shortage of talented youngsters, however, getting them from being 18/19 and

doing well in the B team to starring in the first-team has been a problem for years.

The man who solves this age old problem won’t just be worth his weight in gold, he will make Rangers a pound or two in the process.
