Celtic is in the process of finalizing an agreement to sign Patrick Pentz, a goalkeeper for Bayer Leverkusen, in order to replace Joe Hart during the summer transfer window.

With just one year remaining on his present deal, Pentz has emerged as a strong possibility for the Hoops, according to senior writer Pete O’Rourke in an interview with the most recent episode of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast.

According to O’Rourke, Celtic are searching all over Europe and the world for a new goalkeeper. Pentz, 27, is referred to as “the modern goalkeeper,” offering an alternative to the more conventional Joe Hart. Brendan Rodgers is eager to add a player that fits his style of play.

Although he signed for Leverkusen on a free transfer in 2022, he hasn’t played for the team yet, but Celtic has been pleased with his performances when he was on loan.
