Harry Kane says Tottenham have one of the most aggressive players in the world right now

One of the more aggressive players in the league is a Tottenham player, according to Harry Kane.
Speaking to Goal on TikTok, Kane was given a list of traits to chose from and asked to construct his ideal defense.
For example, he selected Raphael Varane for his pace and John Terry for his football IQ,

but he selected one of his former Spurs teammates for aggression.
Kane did, in fact, select Cristian Romero as the modern game’s most aggressive defender.

The forward mentioned a previous colleague.

“Aggression?” Someone asked Kane.

Kane exclaimed, “Romero, Cuti Romero.”

Cristian Romero’s disciplinary record

Romero is among the game’s most aggressive defenders, and Kane is not off in his assessment.

In just 222 games that Transfermarkt has tracked, the Argentinean has received 72 bookings and seven red cards in his career—roughly one card per three games on average.

Romero is aggressive not only when he makes a tackle but also when he pursues the ball.

Romero’s goal a few weeks ago against Arsenal is a perfect example of this. Desperate to track down the ball, Romero raced forward from center-back, and it eventually resulted in a goal.

Romero’s aggressiveness can occasionally be Spurs’ asset because it sets the standard for how the team should play, but it is unavoidable that the player is always being cautioned and dismissed.

Romero’s record this season is a little better than last year’s, as he only has six yellow cards and one red, down from nine yellow cards and one red in the league.
Having said that, there are still two games remaining, so don’t give up on Romero giving up another headlong pass and receiving a second red card before the season ends.
