Player turns into huge flop after Rangers exit – Club could rescind his contract, would’ve stayed with Philippe Clement’s side

After Alfredo Morelos departed Rangers in the summer of last year, there were a lot of rumors about his future.

The striker ultimately chose to join Santos, a team that is far from in its prime, and he faced a hard challenge to support the team.

After leaving the Rangers, Morelos struggled, and Globo Esporte reports that the Brazilian team may now terminate his contract.

It’s highly likely that Morelos should have placed a higher importance on his successful moments with the Rangers, and in a parallel universe, he could be supporting Philippe Clement’s team instead of being unwelcome at Santos.

The whole tale is that the striker struggled to adapt in his first half-year after joining Rangers and was unable to prevent Santos from becoming the first team in history to be relegated.
After that, Morelos agreed to take a pay cut in order to play in 2024. But since then, he has faced harsh criticism, and even receiving incentives for each goal he scored didn’t seem to inspire him.

The former Rangers player, according to Globo Esporte, has been added to the reserve squad and will stay there while his representatives hunt for a new home.

Santos will then attempt, however improbable, to amicably terminate his contract in the event that he is unable to reach an agreement with a new team.

Santos recently posted a video of himself scoring goals for Rangers and HJK Helsinki in an attempt to boost his profile because he had nothing to show for his current team.
