Rep. Debbie Dingell (D-Mich.) presented former House Speaker Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) a candy basket after the San Francisco 49ers’ Super Bowl defeat by the Kansas City Chiefs taking place on Sunday. “I usually feel better after a major game loss for one of my clubs, thanks to Sanders.@SpeakerPelosi, I hope you enjoy these cozy, delicious goodies!
” Dingell shared content on X. “I know the Lions will be back with a vengeance next year.” Sanders, a local chocolate store in Detroit, was founded.
Pelosi is the representative for the downtown San Francisco area in California’s 11th District. On Sunday, the 49ers lost to the Chiefs 22–25 in an overtime-filled thriller. To attend the game, the former Speaker took a plane to Las Vegas. An online video surfaced showing Pelosi “decked in Niners gear” and making her way to the game. “Go Niners! #FFTB,” was her reply on social media.
Pelosi wrote on X, the former name for Twitter following the match stating that the team was “outstanding on the field” and complimenting the fans for putting “the Bay Area’s proud red & gold spirit” on “full display.” “While it wasn’t the outcome we hoped for, our Niners had a great season – making the Bay Area proud every step of the way,” she stated.
