49ers OL argues The Eagles DT threatened to “murder” him.
Jon Feliciano, an offensive lineman for the San Francisco 49ers,
said on social media on Tuesday night that during the Week 13
match between the two teams, Jalen Carter, a defensive tackle
for the Philadelphia Eagles, had threatened to “murder”
him and brought up his children.
This was in response to Carter’s claim that Feliciano had been disparaging him regarding his deceased teammate from the
University of Georgia, who had died in a vehicle accident
in January 2023. Carter had an arrest warrant issued for
him in March of last year, and it had been reported that he
had witnessed the disaster on January 15 and had given
police “shifting accounts” of what had happened.
In March, Carter entered a plea of not guilty to misdemeanor
charges of racing and careless driving related to the collision.
He was also sentenced to a year and a half of probation,
a fine of $1,000, 80 hours of community service, and a
driving course.
Following the Niners’ overtime loss to the Kansas City Chiefs
in Super Bowl LVIII, Feliciano chastised teammate
Spencer Burford for allegedly missing an assignment.
Subsequently, he expressed regret and attributed his
behavior on a hangover.
Feliciano brought up the Burford case Tuesday night when
talking about Carter’s purported remarks.
“You guys can shit on me for accidentally stabbing Spence
in the back and causing him pain. That’s okay with me.
N should get a piece of it,” he wrote on X, the old name for Twitter.
But that JC is such a naww. The man wants to take it to the streets,
but I’m too old for that, and there are too many things to live for in the NFL. I just want to live a long life on my farm.”
