But according to Bulls source K.C. Johnson, the Bulls attempted to make a trade for the gifted forward Jonathan Kuminga of the Golden State Warriors, but the negotiations did not go beyond the preliminary exchanges.

Aside from Caruso, Johnson mentioned that the Bulls also fielded calls on centre Andre Drummond and had
“some cursory conversations” about veteran shooting guard DeMar DeRozan.
However, the market for both players dwindled when other deals were completed. Johnson also shared that teams had contacted the Bulls’ front office regarding veteran players Andre Drummond and DeMar DeRozan.
Yet, those inquiries did not advance as the day went on and other teams completed deals.
