Rangers monster who won 10 duels starred alongside Matondo & Cantwell
With a 2-1 victory over Aberdeen at Ibrox on Tuesday, Glasgow Rangers pulled even with the top team in the Scottish Premiership.
Rabbi Matondo and Todd Cantwell goals, either side of a Bojan Miovski equaliser, gave the Light Blues all three points as Philippe Clement’s team rose to 58 points, level with Celtic ahead of their match on Wednesday.
Although the two goal scorers deserve all the praise for their heroic strikes that gave the Scottish powerhouses the victory, they weren’t the only standout players for the Light Blues.
John Souttar, a central defender, replaced the injured Leon Balogun in the starting lineup and proved why he is the actual hero of the team that evening with a fantastic performance.

After a defender slipped, Ross McCausland rushed to the area and fired a shot at Kelle Roos, forcing the custodian to parry the ball straight to Matondo for the first goal.
But just before halftime, the Welsh wizard let slip a huge opportunity to make it 2-0.
With an incredible display of skill, he skipped past two defenders but took too long to shoot, giving Cyriel Dessers room to his right, and slipped at the crucial moment.
The former Norwich City player was the one who reacted fastest to Roos’ save, winning the game when he was able to bundle the ball into the net when it rebounded. Cantwell
The English wizard gave his colleagues two more opportunities, but he lost all three of his duels during the match because Aberdeen was too simple to beat him in physical confrontations.
