Before the Super Bowl, the mother of 49ers star Christian McCaffrey says she is boycotting Taylor Swift songs.
Taylor Swift is being blocked by Christian McCaffrey’s mother as she gets ready for the Super Bowl.
In an episode of her podcast Your Mom, Lisa McCaffrey declared
that she would not be listening to any Swift music until the
Super Bowl in order to support her son’s team,
the San Francisco 49ers.
Lisa, 55, declared on her podcast, “I refuse to listen to
Taylor Swift songs for the next 11 days,” as reported by
Entertainment Tonight. “I love her, I love the relationship,
but yep, we are boycotting any T. Swift songs.”
Since she and her older son Max are “both big Swifties,”
Lisa McCaffrey acknowledged that it will be challenging,
but they are determined not to give up. “If she pops up on
the radio station … nope,” Lisa replied.
“She’s dead to us this week.”
Since her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, is a tight end for the Chiefs,
Swift, 34, is a major fan of the squad. Since her initial
appearance at the Chiefs game last autumn, Swift has become
the buzz of the NFL. The two have been dating since last year.
It’s 27-year-old Christian McCaffrey’s first Super Bowl appearance. Having gained 2,023 yards from scrimmage and 21 total
touchdowns in the regular season, he is undoubtedly the best
running back in the NFL. Following a trade with the Carolina
Panthers for second, third, and fourth-round picks in the 2023 NFL Draft as well as a fifth-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft,
McCaffrey joined the 49ers in the 2022 season.
Fullback Kyle Juszczyk of the 49ers remarked, “I really think
he’s the best football player I’ve ever seen,” according to Fox Sports.
“I have no doubt that he would have been an all-pro wide receiver
if he had played wide receiver. The field is seen by him as a
quarterback. He is quite knowledgeable about the game.
He is excellent at pass protection, runs routes,
blocks for other players, can break tackles, and can run both
inside and outside of tackles.”
