Galatasaray and Rangers have differing valuations of Rıdvan Yılmaz,

making it uncertain whether he will remain in Phillipe Clement’s squad.

According to journalist Ali Naci Küçük, the Turkish side has yet to meet Rangers’ criteria,

despite those in power at Ibrox having lowered them.

Rıdvan Yılmaz has been linked with a transfer away from Rangers this month,

with Galatasaray interested in a potential trade for him since they require a left back.

Negotiations have been underway for some time without a settlement being reached,

with Rangers and Galatasaray’s talks proving to be heated.

That was followed by an explanation that Rangers was sticking to their valuation of the defender,

which was €4.5 million. Galatasaray appeared unwilling to pay such price.

Küçük has now provided the most recent update on the situation,

stating that the two parties are currently separated by €1 million.

“Rıdvan Yılmaz is still Galatasaray’s first option,” he told reporters.

“Let me point out that Galatasaray boosted their bid to €4 million.

Rangers reduced their asking price from €6 million to €5 million, a difference of €1 million.

“Galatasaray intends to get Rıdvan and train him tomorrow evening. “We’ll wait and see.”

The funny thing is that earlier today, Rangers’ asking price was only €4.5 million,

so it’s unclear why that has jumped by €500,000 in the last few hours isn’t clear.

The obvious reason is that Galatasaray is merely playing the media game,

claiming that they have reduced Rangers’ asking price from €6 million to €4.5 million,

making the €4.5 million they refuse to pay appear more appealing.

One potential issue that has not been addressed until now is the player’s earnings,

which have apparently become a reality in the last few hours.

That’s according to journalist Erinç Bilican, who, according to Forza Cimbom, has poured cold water on everything.

Rangers seek €5 million for Rıdvan Yılmaz. Rıdvan seeks a hefty wage.

That’s why the chances of that happening are quite slim,” he is reported as saying.

So that’s €500,000, and the player’s demands are now standing in the way of a contract being made.

making it now unlikely to happen.

Given the Turkish transfer window doesn’t close until the 9th there’s still plenty of time to work things out but,

the line in Turkey now seems to be frustration and a little bit of Galatasaray throwing their hands up,

saying they tried, blaming eveyrone else and giving up.
