Oscar Cortes, a winger for RC Lens, has signed a deal with Rangers, according to journalist Julian Capera.

On Wednesday (31 January), the journalist revealed on X that a formal announcement regarding his signature would be made on Deadline Day (1 February).

Capera said that the Colombian international, who will join Ibrox on loan, will wear the number 16 jersey.

Busy window.

Just like in the summer transfer window, Ibrox is a busy place during the winter transfer window, with Philippe Clement in charge rather than Michael Beale.

The latter made numerous changes to his squad last time out, but in the end, it worked out extremely badly for the coach, as he lost his job shortly after.

But Clement has absolutely turned things around at Ibrox and does not appear to be losing his position anytime soon.

It is now his first opportunity to purchase and sell players, and he has not wasted it, with Fabio Silva and Mohamed Diomande arriving on loan from Wolves and Nordsjaelland, respectively, and Cortes joining them on loan, again temporarily.

The manager has done a good job so far at the club, but he will need all the aid he can get as the Gers try to make a strong run in the Scottish Premiership and Europa League.
