Player signs Rangers contract, he’ll wear No 16 with official announcement soon – report
Journalist Julian Capera reports that Oscar Cortes, a winger for RC Lens, has signed a deal to become a new player for the Rangers.
Oscar Cortes signs Rangers contract as Ibrox shirt number disclosed, official announcement soon on Deadline Day.
On Wednesday, January 31, the journalist announced on X that he will make an official declaration regarding his signature on
February 1st, the day of the deadline.
The Colombian international, who is going to move on loan to Ibrox, will wear the number
16 jersey for the Glasgow team, according to Capera.
occupied window
Ibrox is busy during the winter transfer season, much like it is during the summer window,
but Philippe Clement is under pressure rather than Michael Beale.
Last time out, the latter made a lot of changes to his team, but it ultimately backfired on him because he was fired soon after.
However, Clement has drastically changed the situation at Ibrox, and it doesn’t appear that he will be leaving anytime soon.
This is his first opportunity to acquire and sell players, and he hasn’t hesitated, as evidenced by the arrival of Fabio Silva and
Mohamed Diomande on loan from Wolves and Nordsjaelland, respectively, and the impending temporary arrival of Cortes.
The manager has performed admirably during his brief tenure at the team, but he will require all the support he can get if the Gers are
to have a successful season in both the Scottish Premiership and the Europa League.
In other Rangers news, the team has evaluated a striker who is presently on trial at Manchester United, one of the biggest teams in the
Premier League.
