Oscar Cortes: Rangers chase Colombia winger on loan deal from Lens
Oscar Cortes, a winger for Lens, is being loaned to Rangers, and the team is trying to finalize the deal before the transfer window
closes on Thursday. The 20-year-old, who paid £4 million to join the Ligue 1 team from Colombian team Millanarios, has only made
four appearances overall, with one goal against Reims.
In June, Cortes made his debut for his country as a substitute against Iraq. He would be the third player signed by the Rangers during
the transfer window. The first player Philippe Clement brought in as Rangers manager was Portuguese winger Fabio Silva, who was on
loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Since then, Mohamed Diomande, an Ivory Coast midfielder, has been on loan from Danish club Nordsjaelland, with an obligation to buy in the summer.
