The former Hearts and Rangers star Danny Wilson has recently signed with Scottish Championship side Queen’s Park following a stint in America with the Colorado Rapids.

Queen’s Park boss, Callum Davidson, had been on the look-out for a new defender and his search has come to a positive result with the five-times capped Scotland player joining up.

The 32-year-old Wilson started his career at Ibrox before moving south to join Liverpool. However, he only appeared in two Premier

League games before being loaned to Hearts, Bristol City, and Blackpool. Following his permanent signing with the Jambos in 2013,

the center-back played in over 60 Premiership games for the team,

rising to the position of club captain at the young age of 21.

Wilson left Tynecastle as a free agent in 2014–15 after suffering an injury that kept him out of the game. He would later return to

Glasgow and rejoin Ibrox. Wilson signed a three-year contract with the Colorado Rapids of Major League Soccer in 2018, however in January, the team dismissed him.

In November 2010, he made his debut for Scotland in a 3-0 friendly victory against the Faroe Islands. In 2011, he would play four times for his country.

Speaking on his recent move back to the Scottish shores, Wilson said: “I am delighted to be here and delighted to be part of a club

which is progressive. It has been a while since I played in Scotland and I am looking forward to playing here again.”

Davidson, the head coach of Queen’s Park, continued, “Danny has a great pedigree in the game and all the experience we have been

looking for.” It’s a bit of a coup to have him sign for him because, in addition to being a terrific player, he will immensely aid this club

in developing its young defenders.

Danny gave these guys a great foundation in the game on the field, and as a result,

some of them will have lengthy careers in it. Having him on our team is fantastic.”
