The Turkish powerhouses would never be prepared to pay the fullback for the Gers more than two of its existing players, according to

a report by Ajans 1905 journalist via X on Thursday, February 1. Nevertheless, should an agreement be

struck with the player, the transaction will go through.

Rangers want £3.8million [€4.5million] for the 22-year-old this month, and while Galatasaray have accepted this price, Yilmaz’s wage

demands remain a stumbling block to getting this deal over the line ahead of Thursday night’s transfer deadline.

Not over yet

If a wage deal can be made for the left-back, Yilmaz might not be a Rangers player by the end of the January transfer window, even

though it seems improbable at this time.

It makes sense that Galatasaray would not be too keen to offer the Light Blues defense top dollar, particularly if they would need to pay

a hefty transfer fee to complete this move in the last few hours of the transfer window.

In the end, Rangers are reluctant to lose one of their few left-back alternatives, and it’s unclear if Yilmaz is ready to relocate to Turkey.

Galatasaray would always need to make a hefty payment in order to complete this transaction.

In the last hours of the transfer market, Yilmaz should not reduce his demands for a pay cut. If he does, the Gers will have to work

quickly to try to get a new left-back to Ibrox, which might be challenging given the short notice.

In other Rangers news, the team has turned down many loan offers from Serie

A and the Bundesliga for Rabbi Matondo this month.
