According to Sabah, Galatasaray is exerting extra effort to persuade Rangers to let go of Ridvan Yilmaz on the day of the transfer deadline.

On February 1, a Turkish media outlet reported that Galatasaray was interested in signing Yilmaz as one of two new defenders. In

Turkey, the window is open until February 9th, but they would prefer to close a deal on Deadline Day in the UK.

Keep him.

On transfer deadline day, Rangers need to withstand Galatasaray’s attempts to entice Yilmaz away. The Turk’s importance to the team

is highlighted by his recent rise to the top of the left-back hierarchy, surpassing Borna Barisic.

If Philippe Clement’s team were to break up with Yilmaz, they would be left without a left-back in the wake of the collapse of the deal

to sign Jefte from Fluminense. The 22-year-old’s performances, which highlight both his attacking and defensive prowess, have

validated his value. Selling him now would cause the Rangers’ cohesiveness to suffer and their defensive depth to be weakened,

especially with the transfer window’s short duration and the need to find a worthy replacement.

Yilmaz needs to stay, especially considering how important this stage of the season is and how much the Gers want to win in different

competitions. Yilmaz would become the second player from the first team to leave, following the departure of Sam Lammers. On the

last day of the transfer window, defender Adam Levine may also leave the team.
