Another club has chance to sign Rangers player on Deadline Day as email claim shared – report
Gokmen Ozcan reports that Besiktas has the opportunity to sign Ridvan Yilmaz rather than Galatasaray, but Rangers must notify them by email first.
On February 1, a journalist for Fanatik said that the German team would need to notify Besiktas if they were to come
to a deal with any club to sell the Turkey defender.
The Turkish club can then decide whether or not they want to match that price and then Yilmaz himself makes the ultimate decision.
“If Rangers reach an agreement with a Super League team for Rıdvan Yılmaz, they will send a procedure e-mail to Beşiktaş,” stated
Ozcan on Twitter. The player will decide, even if Beşiktaş offers the same offer.
“Rúdvan desires to remain with the Rangers. Rangers won’t part with their eleven players because
the transfer window in Europe closes today.
Gers need not sell Yilmaz until a left-back has arrived at Ibrox, regardless of whether Besiktas or Galatasaray make an offer.
The Turkey international’s importance to the team is highlighted by his recent promotion to the starting
left-back position over Borna Barisic.
Yilmaz’s departure would leave Gers with a positional shortfall at left-back, something Philippe Clement would not desire given the
breakdown of the Jefte deal from Fluminense.
Furthermore, Barisic’s contract expires at the end of the current campaign, and it is never a manager’s
dream to have a player with an uncertain future.
Ideally, Yilmaz stays quiet during the last few hours of the window; however, that doesn’t seem likely since he would have long already
told the club about his interests.
Galatasaray’s desperation is evident, but each player has a price, and the Turkish team hasn’t even approached it yet.
In other Rangers news, a behind-the-scenes report has surfaced, suggesting that the Gers
want to sign a player on deadline day following the recent events.
