Lawrence Shankland, a transfer target for Rangers, has received a revised offer from Premiership rivals Hearts to stay longer.
According to information obtained by the Edinburgh Evening News, the club’s most recent offer included a further pay boost, making
Shankland the highest-paid player in Gorgie in over ten years.
With 14 goals from 23 league games this season, Shankland leads the division in scoring. The 28-year-old was one of the most
productive players in Scottish football during the previous two seasons after he scored
an amazing 24 goals from 37 games in the previous campaign.
The Hearts forward’s existing contract at Tynecastle runs until 2025 and a number of club’s including Rangers are keeping a close eye on the situation.

the initial terms offered to him and now has until Wednesday to respond to the new contract offer that has been put forward to him.
However, it remains to be seen whether Shankland will put pen to paper on a new deal
or whether further negotiations will take place.
Shankland’s current form makes him one of the most sought after strikers in Scottish football, but it is unlikely that Hearts will sell
him this transfer window unless they receive a huge offer.
