Turkish journalist Ertan Süzgün stated two days ago that Rangers’ Rıdvan Yılmaz had decided to depart Ibrox for the winter market.

He also revealed that Galatasaray is interested and is working out a transfer agreement with Philippe Clement’s side.

According to Akşam, the Istanbul club has identified the 22-year-old and two other left-backs as potential targets.

Regarding the Rangers player, Galatasaray has’reached an agreement’ with him and his agent,

and a deal must now be achieved with Philippe Clement’s side to complete the transaction.

According to the source, the Turkish team is ‘trying to shatter’ Rangers,

which will most likely encourage the Ibrox club to decrease their expectations.

Galatasaray boss Okan Buruk wanted a left-back this month,

and the necessity to bolster the position has grown with Angeliño’s departure.

If a deal for the Rangers player cannot be reached,

the club may look to sign Boca Juniors’ Frank Fabra or Nicolás Tagliafico.

The Süper Lig club isn’t giving up on taking the Turkey international away from Rangers.

According to A Spor journalist Emre Kaplan, Galatasaray will make a ‘fresh contact’ to sign Yılmaz.
