Rangers are battling it out in negotiations; the team is “trying to break” Philippe Clement’s side.
Reporter Ertan Süzgün from Turkey stated two days ago that Rangers’ Rıdvan Yılmaz decided to depart Ibrox for the winter market.
He added that Galatasaray is eager to sign Philippe Clement and that they are figuring out a transfer strategy with him.
Akşam state the Istanbul club have identified the 22-year-old and two others as left-back targets.
With regards to the Rangers player, it’s said Galatasaray have ‘reached an agreement’ with him
and his agent and a deal now has to be
agreed with Philippe Clement’s side to conclude the operation.
The report adds the Turkish club are ‘trying to break’ Rangers, likely to convince the Ibrox club to lower their demands.
Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk had requested a left-back this month and the need to
strengthen the position has only increased after Angeliño’s exit.
If a deal can’t be agreed for the Rangers man,
they could try to sign Boca Juniors’ Frank Fabra or Nicolás Tagliafico.
The Süper Lig side aren’t giving up in their efforts to take the Turkey international away from Rangers.
According to A Spor journalist Emre Kaplan, Galatasaray will make ‘new contact’ to sign Yılmaz.
