According to a story on page 46 of The Daily Record on January 31, both Old Firm teams were eager to sign the left-back this month.

Nevertheless, his brief homecoming to the Reds meant that his only alternative would be to play for Dundee this season.

Although the 21-year-old hasn’t put up particularly impressive performances for Dundee, Rangers still had to sign him.

Although Beck isn’t the ideal fit for them out of all the players they’ve been linked to,

they did seek a left-back this month.

Now, it doesn’t even matter as they appear to be closing in on the services of Brazilian left-back Jefte.

Hopefully, that deal goes through without any difficulties as that possibility is always

there until the club makes an official announcement.

This time of the window is notorious for clubs making last-minute hijacks and players

can be swayed away by the smallest of things.

Nothing indicates that this is the case with Jefte, and Philippe Clement will undoubtedly be pressuring the team to close the

agreements as soon as possible rather than waiting until Thursday night to do anything.
