As the January transfer window draws to a close, Scottish teams have until tomorrow at 11 p.m.

to complete their transfer strategies for the forthcoming season.

Only one player has signed with Celtic this month: Nicolas Kuhn, a German

winger who relocated to Glasgow’s east end.

It looks like Brendan Rodgers’ squad will soon have an additional offensive option, though.

The Hoops were linked to many strikers this month,

including Aberdeen’s North Macedonian star Bojan Miovski and Leeds United front Joe Gelhardt.

The Daily Record reports that the Hoops are “closing in” on a loan agreement for

Adam Idah, a striker for Norwich City. The 22-year-old is rumored to be joining

Celtic on loan for the remainder of the campaign, with the possibility of a

permanent purchase. From his debut in 2019, Idah—who came via the

Carrow Road development system—has made over 100 appearances in

the Premier League and EFL Championship. In addition, he has competed for the Republic of

Ireland men’s national team at every age group, from under 16 to under 21,

earning 22 senior capsand three goals so far.

Throughout the season, he has made 34 appearances for the Canaries in all

competitions and netted seven goals. Other English teams and clubs in Europe are said

to have shown a lot of interest in the Cork-born attacker this transfer

window, but Celtic have ‘fought off competition’ to secure his signature before the transfer deadline.
