Aaron Nesmith has shown promise while playing with the Pacers, despite his unfulfilled tenure with the Celtics.

Although Nesmith shown flashes of skill in Boston, where he was selected 14th overall in the 2020 selection,

he struggled to get playing time for a loaded club.

In the summer of 2022, Nesmith was transferred by the C’s to the Pacers in exchange for Malcolm Brogdon. Additionally, he always

seems to be carrying a grudge against his former squad when he plays. This was demonstrated on Tuesday when Nesmith led the

Celtics to a 129-124 victory over the Pacers while dishing up 26 points, 12 rebounds, and seven assists on 11-for-17 shooting. The guard

received appreciation from his Pacers colleagues.

“Because of his trade and everything that was said about him at the time, he has a grudge. We adore him because of that. It’s terrific to

be able to sign him to a long-term contract because he’s a fantastic player.

“Every NBA team wants Aaron Nesmith on their team because he is a guy who will do whatever is asked of him, puts his head down,

and works.” We adore him because of that. He always plays with a little more vigor when he plays Boston. It’s cool to see that.

Nesmith has been a valuable member of the Pacers rotation, averaging career-highs in 26.6 minutes per game with 12.9 points, 3.9

rebounds, and 1.4 assists. Notably, on 4.7 tries per game, he is shooting an amazing 46.3% from 3-point range. He was highly praised

for his shooting ability upon graduating from Vanderbilt, and he now resembles the 3-and-D defender that many had predicted him to

be a few years prior.
