Galatasaray has expressed interest in

Ridvan Yilmaz, who made the mistake of

joining Rangers from Besiktas in 2022.

Yilmaz ought to make a “urgent” return

to the Turkish Super Lig.

This is according to Acun Ilicali, the

Turkish billionaire who has made quite

the impression south of the border after

acquiring Hull City and making The

Tigers look like dark horses to make it to

the English second division playoffs.

Despite a few noteworthy games early in

the Philippe Clement era, Ridvan Yilmaz

has not left exactly the same effect in the

United Kingdom.

Before the Super Lig transfer window

ends on February 9th, Rangers may still

be able to profit from their £3.5 million

deal. Galatasaray fueled rumors this

week when head coach Okan Burak said

that a left-back is a “priority” at Ali Sami

Yen.

Rangers could still sell

Ridvan Yilmaz

“Ridvan Yilmaz went to the wrong place,”

PIlicali, a 22-year-old Istanbul native,

told GunHaber.

“He has to return immediately. These

kinds of returns work well. Although the

Galatasaray management is the expert,

they may still perform well with the

Turkish quota.

Although Yilmaz’s immediate future at

Ibrox remains unknown, he has been

one of the team’s most impressive

players lately. He has started the

previous six Scottish Premiership games,

scoring the first goal in last week’s 3-0

victory at Hibernian away from home

and providing an assist against

Kilmarnock.
