Four years after Jarrad Branthwaite was heavily linked to Rangers, Manchester United is preparing a £34 million bid for the Everton defender.

During his tenure in the English lower leagues with Carlisle United, the defender had several suitors for a transfer,

including the Ibrox team.

However, events ultimately led Branthwaite to Everton in the Premier League, where he is currently making waves at the highest level of the sport.

According to Italian publication Corriere dello Sport, Real Madrid and Chelsea are also interested in the 21-year-old England U21

international, but Manchester United is the team in the lead.

With Everton struggling this season, it is said that Manchester United may make a move to capture Jarrad Branthwaite for €40

million (£34 million) before the transfer window closes.
