Derek Ferguson believes that Rangers would be better off pursuing Kilmarnock star Daniel Armstrong than

Argentine attacker Luca Langoni.

Journalist Dom Smith of the Standard claimed on January 15 that Rangers had made a move for the attacker, a 21-year-old from

Argentina, who was also apparently attracting interest from Fulham, Sevilla, and Nice.

Ferguson, though, believes it would be smarter for Rangers to occasionally look closer to home at individuals who have previously

demonstrated their ability to compete in the Scottish Premiership.

“I don’t know a lot about the boy or Argentinian football, but coming here, different culture, it’s going to take time to settle in,”

Ferguson stated in an exclusive interview with Ibrox News.

There have been rumors that you could get a player who might even be in our league for a hell of a lot less money who might come in and make an impact.

“I don’t know enough about the boy (Langoni); sometimes, names are just thrown around; for me, it takes time to settle because these are guys that are coming from all over the world.”

Not just with teammates, but also with other foods, lifestyles, and cultural practices.

To be honest with you, I don’t think I would choose that path.
